Training on 11th November is Cancelled

The Compass Sport Trophy qualifying round will be run on 24th January 2010. The NWOA heat is being organised by SELOC and will be in Watergrove, Wardle.

This event is a club event so includes seniors and juniors.

We need to declare if BarrO are entering by 26th November 2009. Can you please contact me on 01229 823699 if you can run for the Club.

Its that time of year again. The The Peter Palmer Junior Team Relay is being held at Sutton Park, Birmingham on Sunday 27th September 2009. This event is for Teams of six juniors (M/W 12-18).

BarrO has had a team or two entered for the last few years.

Closing date for entries is the 1st September 2009.

If you are interested please let Stuart or Caroline know asap on 823699. We will also need a minibus driver or willing parents to take people through to the event so again if you can help please let Stuart or Caroline know.

Welcome to the Barrow & District Orienteering Club, (BarrO), website.

BarrO is based in Barrow-in-Furness in the south west corner of the Lake District.

We train on a Wednesday evening, during school term time, from 18:30 hrs at Hawcoat Park Sports and Social Club and attend Orienteering events in Cumbria and further afield most weekends.

BarrO  has a strong Junior focus.

The club is the youngest open Orienteering Club in the country being formed late 2005.

We are one of 5 clubs selected by British Orienteering to take part in the Increasing Participation initiative.
